Admissions

We get queries regarding the admission process at the Mumbai University almost on a regular basis. Although we would be glad to offer any help available, our knowledge on the same is limited (since this is a student initiative website.) The following info is what we have gathered over a period of time and hopefully will be of some help.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

CATEGORIES: (Kindly take the effort to scroll down for the complete info!)
1) REGULAR STUDENTS
2) DISTANCE EDUCATION 
3) STUDENTS FROM OTHER UNIVERSITIES / OTHER STREAMS 


1) REGULAR STUDENTS WITH A BA DEGREE IN ENGLISH LITERATURE (FROM MUM UNI).
These will require their degree certificates, marksheets, Convocation certificates, Transfer Certificates (from their colleges,) and form filled duly (is available in the admission kit at the University,) and cheques or DD of the fee amount. They do not need to clear any entrance exam. 

The course lectures can be attended at the University or at the below colleges (specific Bombay/Thane):
1) RK Talreja College, Ulhasnagar
2) Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College, Ghatkopar, Bombay.
3) Chandibai Himathmal Mansukhani College, Ulhasnagar.
4) Sonubhau Baswant College, Shahapur (trains diverting from Kalyan.)

STUDENTS FROM OTHER UNIVERSITIES / OTHER STREAMS 
Besides the regular documents, you will need to fill in a MIGRATION FORM, plus most colleges will assess your case based on your performance in the entrance test. 
The forms will be available for the entrance test, but the date of entrance test will be scheduled only after the declaration of TYBA results.

DISTANCE EDUCATION:
Same as above except that you tick different boxes in the admission form. And besides the study material provided you can attend the PCP (Personal Contact Programme) lectures. This is the link for you, http://mu.ac.in/idol.html
